Operation Autumn Clouds

A short-duration Israel Defense Forces (IDF) operation by IDF infantry, engineering, and armored forces in November 2006 that ended on 7 November, mainly in the area of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip. It was directed against terror and rocket-launching infrastructure designed so as to reduce Qassam missile attacks launched from the Gaza Strip against Sderot, Ashkelon, and other Israel locations.
